The Sons of Italy #1850 was originally founded in 1930 in Hull and moved to its current location in 1954. The current main structure was a Hingham firehouse that was moved from Crow Point. Many additions both inside and outside over the years have been added as the membership grew. Among the improvements, a barbeque pit and custom picnic tables with seating for over 120 people were installed, and in the 1990’s bocci courts were added alongside the horseshoe pits. Local families from the South Shore cherished all their fond memories at the hall. Hundreds of first birthdays, holiday parties and weddings have been held at The Son’s.
